Four New Lambs!!!

On Friday, our lambs finally arrived. They are the sheep-equivalent of canine muts, which is perfectly fine as we needed lawnmowers, not sheep who would sweep the state fair circuit.

We have one dorset wether and another wether of quesetionable bloodline, probably Hampshire/Dorset mix. We've also got a Suffolk(ish) ewe and Hampshire/Suffolk mix ewe. They are all about 6 months old and had a "spa day" courtesy of the farm including a shearing, hoof clipping, and a worming before they were delivered to our house  Fancy! We are using movable electic fencing, which seems to be working really well. It keeps the dogs and wild animals out and keeps the flock in.

We've been working on taming them. They were terrified of us for the first two days,  but it is amazing what a little grain will do. They will risk their lives by approaching you if you are holding the shiney grain tin. Today, they ate out of my hands and let me pet them. So sweet!
